What Even is Membership for The Cherry Pit?
As a registered society, we need members! And our members are you, the young people accessing our programming!
When you sign up for membership, you will read and agree to our safer spaces expectations around respect and accountability. This ensures that the youth attending our workshops and events are under the same expectations around how they treat each other and The Cherry Pit. These expectations also include how The Cherry Pit will be respectful and accountable to you!
Membership is also a way we can track our demographics, which is crucial to applying for grants. Demographics also help us understand the intersections of identities in our members, which can help us plan how best to support y'all!
Membership is also a way to stay connected with us off social media! We know that sometimes folks take breaks off Instagram or want to leave it entirely. Signing up for membership will allow us to collect emails and send monthly updates about programming and events!
We are working on creating diverse ways for membership to support you, the youth. For example, members will get early access to our Art Market Vendor Applications. We would love to hear your suggestions about how we can use membership to benefit you!
